Kyocera’s products meet the stricter requirements introduced in 2007.
Kyocera manufacture energy compliant printers, monochrome and color copiers/multifunctional
products (MFPs). Many of these products employ our patented ECOSYS Technology, a printing solution
that incorporates long-life consumables with an industry-leading low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
and minimal impact to the environmental.
ECOSYS Printers
Printers that have earned the ENERGY STAR label can decrease the equipment’s power use by more
than 60%. ENERGY STAR qualified printers automatically enter a low-power “sleep” mode after a
period of inactivity. Spending a large portion of time in low-power mode not only saves energy but
helps printing equipment run more efficiently and last longer. Since office equipment is generally kept
on 24 hours per day, power management features are important for saving energy and energy-
related costs.
Copiers/Multifunctional Products (MFPs)
Monochrome and Color Copiers/Multifunctional Products (MFPs) combine printing, scanning, copying
and faxing into one space-saving unit. By powering down, Monochrome and Color
Copiers/Multifunctional Products (MFPs) that have earned the ENERGY STAR label can reduce energy
costs associated with use by almost 40%. Low-power mode saves energy while helping MFPs run
more efficiently and last longer. Because most copiers/MFPs are left on for long periods of time, power
management features are important for saving energy and an easy way to reduce air pollution.
